I never jam bullets - too many things can go wrong and if you decide to extract an unfired case you can fill the action with powder. I shoot about the same load you mentioned .010 off lands and it shoots .2 - .3

Like Ken, I also have seen my best accuracy shooting H322 with the bullet seated .010" off the lands. Have also had very good results shooting Benchmark in the 22PPC.

I don't have one yet, but the bits and pieces are slowly coming together, give it six months and I will be looking for loads. I intend using Sierra 55gn spbt as I have a couple of thousand and nothing else to shoot them in.

In my 6mm PPC I use N133 2 thou off the lands as I need to unload live rounds. Quite a few BR target shooters jam the bullet into the lands but that will lead to tears in a vermin rifle. Never does so little powder go so far as when its spilled into the action.

H322 is generally reckoned to be the number 2 powder for the case but some rifles love it.

Default I have had 2 22 PPC's

at least on Remington 700, one hart on a Sako A-1, and one on a Hall M, may have forgot about a few other barrels.

In all cases, bug holes were shot with solid contact with the lands.

My 22 PPC's liked the bullet touching the lands to suck into a group less than .200.

For casual and varmint shooting, WC 844 is THE powder for the 22ppc, very tiny groups, very tiny!

I never had a bullet pull out of the barrel with the bullet just kissing the lands.

My 22 PPC also likes the Berger 52 gr HP .010 off the lands. I use H322 and XBR 8208. It also does well with RL 10X.

Please keep us informed on your progress. I have a Pac-Nor 22PPC barrel on order for a late fall 2014 delivery.
