Default Value of Winchester 43 in 25-20

I am trying to figure out the fair value of a Winchester 43 in 25-20. It has on old weaver 6x scope on it. It is in good condition. I have had this for a while and my buddy is wanting to buy it. I am just going to keep my model 25 remington pump in the same caliber. I see a lot of 218 bees and 22 hornets but don't see any 25-20s. Any help I'd appreciate.

If it's factory drilled and tapped (later models) You would be in the $800 range. If it's not factory D&T the collectability and price would drop substantially.

Deluxe (checkering), or standard, will also make a difference.

go to Gunbroker and use the search function. Go to Advanced Search and search for items that actually sold, not what's for sale currently. I can ask a million bucks for a pile of crap, doesn't mean anybody's gonna buy it.

It is the standard.

I know what you mean. I tried to find the completed auctions on gunbroker but couldn't find any that had sold.

Plenty of sold Winchester 43's there but the only .25-20 is a supposedly New Old Stock with a starting price of over $6000, wonder why it didn't get any bids.

I believe you have to be registered and logged in to access the sold search function Gunbrokers. Or is the Ebay?

Yeah I don't see any completed auctions for a 25-20. I know them and the 32-20 are both a little more rare than the hornets and the 218 bee

Default Winchester 43 25-20 Deluxe

I sold a 43 Deluxe in 25-20 on GunBroker approximately a year ago and got 750.00. I had it on for a couple of weeks with a 800.00 reserve one dollar start and bids never hit the reserve. Rifle was original no extra holes and conservatily was a honest 90% rifle. Took off the reserve and it sold. At the time, looking at what they were selling for, I felt what I got was in the middle of the market. I will say this, prices are soft for vintage rifles and have been for awhile. I buy and sell alot, it's a good time to be a buyer, not so much a seller.
