Default A bolt 22M

I had one about 25 years ago. My recollection is that it was very accurate. I’ve been down the 22 mag trail multiple times and found that a Rugers are terrible, coopers are accurate, and Anschutz is the most accurate.

Sorry, no experience with the Browning.
Years ago, I had a clip-fed Marlin bolt gun in .22 WMR that shot 1/2" to 3/4" at 100 meters, with Winchester 40gr. HP's. They were the only load of different makes and types of .22WMR ammo that shot sub inch & they did a marvelous job.

Thanks fellas, have the opportunity to piggy back an export from the US to here so ive been watching the sites but nothing for sale over there at the moment.

I really like the A bolts and the other rifles mentioned are easy finds down here.
If you happen to know of a nice condition A bolt for sale please let me know. Seller just sends as per normal to the export company

I have been using one for over 10 years. Very accurate wit 40gr Winchester dyna points. Sub moa. Better than my marlin (newer one or the one i bought 1976). The A-Bolt is a real Shooter and built better than most rimfires for the price. On the other hand it isn’t as nice as my cooper.

I've had one since they came out. It is the most accurate .22 Magnum I own and I use it for most of my testing of .22 Mag ammo.

Be aware though, the magazines are very hard to find and carry a steep price when you do.

Mine wasn't so accurate, but I admit to not playing around with many different ammo brands. In comparison to my Sako Quad in 22 mag. it didn't do so well.
At the time I was in the market for a good 22 mag. the State held us to using rimfire's for Predators after Deer season was over.
I had a CZ at the time and traded it for the Browning. Neither one were all that accurate with Win. 40 hp, my preferred Coyote/Fox round. I got a chance to buy the Sako and took the chance. Mounted a scope on it and took it along with the Browning to the range. The target says it all.
I still have my first 22 mag. a Savage/Anschutz 164M that will keep up with the Sako.

2 rounds for the Browning are just off the black target on the right. They didn't make the photo.

My CZ452 American in 22WMR I tried everything I could find from 30 to 50gr ammo available at the time. Didn't care for any CCI regardless of weight, and preferred the 33gr Remington Premiere and 34gr Winchester Supreme (black box). Both shot 3/4" for 5 at 100yds.
