Default bdl vs adl

Curious as to what the difference in size is between the bdl and adl?

I have an ADL mag, and it is almost a 1/4" taller than the BDL mag.

willyp19: I've got a BDL box for you. Excellent shape, it's a new take out from the 1990's. I'd trade for the ADL box if that interests you or just sell it...whatever you like.

Feel free to PM me here. -Al

I used a belt (medal) sander to shorten a LA adl to fit bdl bottom medal. Only took a few minutes. Everyone(gunsmith) seem to have adl but not bdl.

Yep....that will work. I really dislike the whole BDL lash up and much prefer the ADL approach. I've tack welded a tab for the ADL screw on BDL boxes a few times, too. With a little sheet metal bottom tacked in place, the entire box assy. doesn't exert any pressure on the stock via the follower spring.

Good shootin' -Al
