I checked with CH4d and with Newlon precision. Seems to me that if I want to stay with the 19 Caliber it will take a custom set of dies if I cant find a old forster set. Buying a 600 dollar set of dies is out of the question for me right now. The search continues

Have you checked with Hornady to make your die. Unless they have really gone up in cost they won't be near 600.00.

You could chamber your barrel to 19-223. A 223 or 20prac bushing die would do the job.

Would a 22 K Hornet bushing die from Redding work also ? With the use of the correct size bushing ?

Hornady was right at 500. Newlon precision only does die blanks. Rcbs has a 17 ackley hornet die that could be reamed to 19 caliber but can’t find anyone to tackle it for anything reasonable. Waiting for a quote back from ch4d. Never considered a bushing die.

I think the rifle will go back to Calhoon for a conversion to 19 badger. Dies brass and bullets readily available. This seems like the best money spent.

had the same thought yesterday but couldn't find a reamer print for a 19 calhoon that i could read. i would call dave manson reamers and see if the 2 cases have the same body length. i looked thru reddings list of s dies and did not see the 22k hornet listed. maybe a 17 ackley die with a correct bushing.
