Default Recommendations for torches and spotlights?

Hi all,

Just after some recommendations on what night shooting gear you guys use. Intending to do more walking at night next year chasing Red Fox and Dingo here in Australia.

Looking at a hand held spot light and a rifle mounted torch. Suggestions?

What electronic callers would you recommend? Already use a ICOtec GC300, not bad, but tend to prefer the old fashioned tin whistle or Predator Call.
Interested in seeing what difference of opinion are out there.

Thanks in advance,
Stu in Oz

I've had good luck with Fenix lights. The TK22 (650 Lumens) works fine on a weapon. As for hand held, I usually use the little TK35 (850 lumens) or if I really want to light up the place, I use an RC40 (3500 lumens).

I use a Streamlight Strion LED with AC/DC Rechargeable. Can be run or recharged from a 12V lighter socket or AC charger. No batteries to mess with and super bright out to 200 yards plus.

I just received a pair of Fenix PD35's as recommended above. I would have to disagree on that recommendation. The PD35 has a lot of spill and throws a wide beam without very good throw. Both the TK35 and TK22 outperform the PD35 for lighting stuff up at distance.
