Default Excellent end.

What a way to end the season! Don't come much better than that. Brill.

Great story, Doug. Can't say that I envy you the -12 degree stuff, though! Hope you get a chance to connect with Mr. Wolf! Bagging a wolf is pretty much at the top of my bucket list.

Well done, Doug good eat'n young elk - congratulations. We've the same weather here - too damn cold - but a warming trend on the way - maybe only 20F by the end of the week.

I've been told the cattleman's association is paying $600.00 per wolf here and $300.00 per coyote.

Some friends are making hay on them with the electronic calls, now legal in BC for about 5 years now,

Default -12* = Elk Hunting!

Well done montdoug!

That oughta be some fine vittles alrighty. Your story reminds me of a couple of years ago here....my 32 yr old nephew failed to get his cougar tag when out after mulies here. Of course on his way back to his truck after hunting all day, he stumbled onto a nice adult male tom on a snow-covered hillside at 35 yards downhill.....but no tag.

He/we are much smarter now however.

Well done, amigo!

Thumbs up

Well done Doug, congratulations! How much meat do you reckon you'll end up with? We generally like to bring home 2 or 3 whitetails a year for canning and freezing, but they are much smaller than he is!

Nice bull Doug.

Too bad about not being able to kill a wolf, hoping you get another chance this season.

Is ANY cow less Gamey or tough than even that 3 year old bull? I killed a spike many years ago, and it was very good eats compared to Mule deer, from my recollection.
