A couple months since the last post I know.
I still have the idea I would like to have David build a 20 killer bee on a H&R action one day. I read in an earlier post that the trigger weight can be reduced. I still wonder about the quality of the trigger in a H&R. Are they bad? Can they be tuned to break crisply? Thank you. |

I rework 3-5 triggers a week and the H&R trigger can be set to a very crisp 2 1/2 lb. pull. They can also be set as light as 14 oz. but, the problem with that, is the transfer bar safety. Meaning that you have to be able to snatch the trigger back fast enough to get past the transfer bar or the gun will not fire. This in itself is why I refuse to set these triggers much if any, under 2 1/2 lbs.. This is also a good comfortable (and safe) weight that most guys have no problem getting use to....

Wow! Thanks for the prompt reply David.
I prefer a crisp trigger over a light one anyways. It's good to hear you can do this! 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. is fine for me as the rifle I have in mind will be somewhat handy, as at home calling coyotes as shooting squirrels. Have a happy 4th! |
