Default Borescope

Looking for recommendations. I have store credit at the LGS. Don't have any .17 caliber but that's not off of the table.

I've been using a Teslong flexible bore scope. It will tightly fit a .20 cal barrel.

A great way to check bore condition, as well as Lugs.

It has drastically changed my cleaning technique.

X2 for the Teslong borescopes. They're very impressive for what they cost.

I have the flexible as well as the rigid rod Teslong borescope that connects to my laptop and they work extremely well. Bought both off of Amazon I think they were around 60 bucks.

Once you get the mirror adjusted/focused to your liking tighten down the little set collar and you're good to go. They'll work on everything 20 caliber and larger. Since getting the rigid rod Teslong scope I use it the most but they are so economically priced you can own both and you still aren't out much cash.

About the only one I know of that will work on the little 17's is Hawkeye. They make really good stuff but they also cost, considerably, more.

I've been looking at the Teslong borescopes myself.
Any advantages of the rigid unit as compared to the flexible design?

Thumbs up

Love my Teslong. Debated for years whether or not to buy the Hawkeye but once the Teslong came out and how well it worked for my .224 and up barrels, I was sold at 1/7th the cost.

I have both. Bought the flexible one first then the rigid one second. Since getting the rigid one it's generally the one I now use the vast majority of the time but they're pretty darn economically priced it doesn't bother me that I also have the flexible one.

For using one inside barrels I think the rigid one is maybe a little easier to control but either works very well.

Can you tell me which model you have please ? None of the ones I see on Amazon Australia are anywhere near that cheap.
