Yep, constitutional carry (including training, firearm, and ammunition) is the cheap part of this deal. "having a lawyer in your hip pocket" is the expensive part of the deal should one need to make serious use of constitutional carry.

As it has been from the inception of CC in the various states that have it.

As to coyotespotter's words: "Just reviewed the 2nd Amendment, didn't see anything about "learning" to handle or train. Or about hunting. Seems everyone is confused about what the 2nd Amendment is intended for."

I couldn't agree more with you and I'm not confused. Unfortunately, the use of the words " a well-regulated militia" has allowed for people to throw a legal "monkey wrench" into the legal definition of the 2nd and who it actually pertains to from the git go....... And "well-regulated militia" has been construed to mean trained in many of those legal arguments. That is not going to change anytime soon. They use those words to argue that "the right of the people to keep and bear arms........" is not the key to the 2nd as we would like it to be. Reality sometimes sucks........ But that doesn't change reality as it exists.

Heller is the most recent significant words along the lines of "We the people" that we have heard recently. Unfortunately it is just one legal court opinion in the other direction away from Heller to renew the debate. More reality......

As for the actual wording of the 2nd. It was not penned by the Founding Fathers. It was borrowed verbatim from constitutions of the original 13 colonies. Maybe if the FF had penned their own words it would have been different. Quien sabe..??
