Built 2 17 Hornady Hornets on small Martini actions, and got one season in the Montana gopher patch, before I got caught up chasing an Okie Gal and ending up in Oklahoma. Chasing widow ladies when you are elderly is as mind numbing as chasing girls when you are a teenager.

Superb gun, superb cartridge. Devastating on gophers dead killer on rock chucks. I don't think I have fully explored the accuracy potential.

If I were still in Montana this would be my Number one Gopher gun. Both guns are sitting out in the safe. 1400 loaded rounds on the shelf. Plans are to drive Montana and shoot gophers in 2023 or go to the Oklahoma Panhandle this spring for prairie dogs with these two Martini's.
