I am glad you are aboard Teddy Bear Rat. I have been impressed for years with your work! How is the Dakota project going?

Default Many Thanks

Many thanks to those who assisted me, especially Gerald. I probably did everything wrong when I tried to register.

Too late on my wallet, though. I usually have it well in hand, but just browsing here for the past four weeks has already led to purchasing three rifles .

One is an ULA .22 Hornet barreled action with what I believe is a Shilen SM barrel with 1:12" twist, to which I then added a two-ounce Bix N' Andy trigger. This trigger required fabricating some makeshift bottom metal that didn't go so well, but hope to fire it soon, weather permitting.

The second is a first-year-of-production Cooper M-38 in .22 CCM, along with dies and 1000+ pieces of virgin brass. It also came with all the original paperwork, technical updates, and loading data from Cooper. Already loaded up some ammo, but, despite the new brass and shiny new dies, presented a few problems. Honestly, it appears unfired, but that will be remedied soon enough .

The third has yet to arrive.

Stay tuned for updates.

I actually have two Dakota M10 projects, a .218 Bee and a .17 HMR. The Bee was just a rebarrel of a .35 Whelen, and it needs only the caliber stamping and bluing. I've fired it about 200 rounds and is shooting about 5/8" groups at 100 yards. The rimfire, which I bought as an in-the-white barreled action and am just stocking it, is still where it was about two years ago
