Default CVS Prospector conversion

32 H&R

My buddy and I both bought these Tingle Target Pistol clone kits back in the 1980s. He made a breech block out of stainless steel that contains a shotgun firing pin. It has a ball detent to keep it closed and swings open. The ejector works real well. It’s really a fun gun and extremely accurate. It’s been shot a lot over the years and has taken a lot of game over the years.

Mine is still a 44 cal black powder target pistol and a fine one it is. 2” groups at fifty yards with iron sights.

Default Tingle Prospector like no other

JD,
You guys are pretty good and that's one ingenious mechanism on your friend's pistol.
I'd be hard pressed to match your accuracy with mine as my familiarity with it is quite limited.
You are an inspiration to us all.

Thanks for sharing your buddy's creative works.
Mine is an Italian knockoff stamped Hopkins and Allen and that's clearly a farce.
Thanks,
Jimmy

Ours are CVA Italian kits. He really wants to “do something” about the scope mount. It’s quite a good mount, but ugly as sin. That 32 shoots groups at a hundred yards that you simply would not believe.

SO, just how cool are those??? Coming up with something like those sure beats time wasted on a bar stool. True Craftsmen.

If you haven't already, you should post this over on the Specialty Pistol Forums.

Default Specialty pistols R.I.P.

But alas, they're gone now.
It was a good run...

I see a good number of them hanging at Savage Shooters, tho
