***20-250*** Dies
I have some once fired brass.I would like to send these to someone to make me some dies. F/L sizing and a seater die. Any help or knowledge would be helpful. This is a project that has been put on hold and now is time to get it up and going.

Hornady is top notch on the custom dies.

A 22-250 bushing die with a .20 cal bushing in it should be cheap, fast and easy. Then just buy a generic 20 cal seating die and be happy. Larry

X2 on Neil Jones
I really like my Jones dies for making 17 PPC cases.
The others mentioned are also good.Do you have .22-250 dies already? Matt

20/250 dies
I have been using the redding s type dies in 22/250 dies with a .228 bush for mine ( it's either .228 or .229cant remember which)
Bought a 20 cal resizing stem to replace the 22 cal And just use the standard 22/250 seating die to seat the projectiles. I seem to be getting reasonable results with this combination and didn't break the bank purchasing everything. I purchased everything from Sinclairs. |

I don't even bother with the .20 caliber stem. Just use a .22-250 seating die "as is" and get excellent concentricity. Same with my .20BR's and my .20 Dasher, I use .224 caliber seaters on all of them, no concentricity penalty.
For sizing the .20-250, I use a bushing neck die to neck down and for regular neck sized reloading. I use a Redding .22-250 body die to bump or FL as needed. When I had my .20-250 built, I actually didn't have to buy a single piece of reloading equipment for it. Already had everything I needed from other chamberings. - DAA |
