6x47 remington + 58 grain VMax
Looks like I'll stick with H322 for the powder at least with this bullet. I realize these are only 3 shot groups but It's a sporter and I was concerned about barrel heat. Temps were in the mid 80's and wind was calm. Powder charge was 27.8 grains of H322 with a Federal Small Rifle Match Primer in reformed Nosler
222 Rem Mag brass. 1st group measured .248", 2nd was .226" and 3rd opened up to.350" which may have been operator error. I also tried three differed loads of 8208 at .776, .750" and .550 there's room to increase the powder charge of 8208 but I think I'll just stick with the 322 and keep things simple. |

I had intentions of using 55-58 grain bullets in my 6TCU, they were decent groups with good speed. I am using 65 grain Vmax for the best of both worlds. It’s a 1-8” twist, faster than I wanted but splat factor may be better.
Oddly my 1-8” 6BR loves 55’s and 58’s. |

Good idea, the two top left groups are more than enough to keep you happy and making good hits on critters.
You are correct on the barrel heat. Keep the shots in the area of five at a time and let it cool. |

Wondering how H335 might work for your application. I have gotten good results with both H322 and H335 in my 6X45 and Nos 90BT for deer.

The combo right now makes a cheap paper puncher and groundhog medicine
