Interested to hear too. Did not know that Anschutz had made any 17H rifles. I would expect them to be very accurate, have never owned an Anschutz that wasn't, from 22, 17 HMR, Hornet to 308, they all shot great. I will say, I prefer my CZ 17 HMR to my Anschutz 17 HMR even though the Anschutz was twice the price.

For those wanting to see the gun

https://www.anschutznorthamerica.com..._Trigger_.html

Looks like a nice gun. I have a Annie 1517D-HB 17HMR with that trigger, shoots great but wish it had the wide forearm stock like the MPR

I don't think my annie shoots any better than my Sako Quad with the trigger resprung at 10 ounces.

Not really a great design. What is the point of a European Hog Back style stock with no open sights. That and with the heavy barrel is is going to be near 9 pounds scoped. with a sling. Not exactly a nice carry rifle. I am a big fan of Anschutz but they missed the mark badly on this one, in my opinion. I think the CZ is a much better design.

I’ve contacted one of the distributors. He said his is not a heavy barrel.
Possibly they make a heavy and a sporter.
Weight in a PD town when shooting off a bench is not a problem.

Well I am mulling over getting one at the moment, couple places here in Canada, have them in stock, Still undecided yet on 17 or .22 hornet, and single or two stage trigger, not sure i agree with Dean on the hogs back stock, sure like my Sako Bavarian and its similar stock design.

Well surprisingly, about the same as the USA,
Std or DVJ 1771 is $2295-2395, 20, or 23 " single stage or 2 stage trigger
the thumbhole stock is $2550. a GRS stock is $3200.
Given the 30% variance Cad v USA, dollars, I think they are a better deal here in Canada.

Default Canada prices

That pricing is interesting, and surprising. I agree the Canada price is better.

Happy Canada day,
Just ordered a 1771 in .17 Hornet,
Nordic marksman has 15% off for today, enough for me to jump,
ordered a 20", single stage trigger, spare mag and tally quick release rings.

looking forward to having a hornet again.
