I used a Lee Auto-Prime for years, kept breaking them, cost more to fix than replace. Then went to the RCBS bench mounted unit or just primed on my Dillon 550 depending upon the task. I picked up the spring loaded RCBS hand unit a few years ago. Yep sometimes a case will pop out, and sometimes it is my fault. Generally small or narrow rimmed cases i.e. 45 Colt, will pop out with greater frequency. But cartridges based upon '06, 30-30, 223, cases etc., are rarely a problem. In order of use on my bench, RCBS hand unit, 50/50 - Dillon 550 and RCBS bench mounted unit.
All the best,
Michael.
