Anyone tried Midwayusa Dogtown 17 cal 20 grain hp?

If so, how’s accuracy and explosiveness ?

Default 17 cal Dogtown pills

I use them in my Cooper M38 17AH on PD’s, work good for me. You can’t expect much of airtime on PD. I haven’t tried them on squirrels yet. Wasn’t able to get 20 vMax to group well. At this price point, you can’t beat the Dogtown HP. I’ll be getting more of them.

Default Dog town

Thanks killinstick.
Same issue here, I can’t get great groups with my 17h and 20 vmax.

I used them up til now and I had to go to lead free, for all hunting/varmints, but they shot very well for me, accurate and did a number on various critters, when hit. Shot them in a 17 VHA and 17 Fireball. Bill K

Have you worked up loads in both with the 15.5gr v-max's yet? how did that work out?

Yes I have with both CFE BLK and AA1680 and IMR 4227. All near the max loads shown in Hornady's load data and they are as accurate or more so than the lead bullets I used prior. So this lead issue is not a issue, as far as I am concerned. This applies to both the 17 Hornet and 17 Fireball.
And in my 20 cal. that Nosler Varmageddon lead free are also working as well or better. Bill K
