Question Hey Fellas?!

Sometime back there was talk of Rem. LVSF rifles available pretty cheap...maybe $450 or so.

Where were these? Are they still available?

Thinking of a 204R.

Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin:
Bought mine for that price (221FB) around Xmas 2006 at Gander Mountain. The sale lasted about 1 month only. Was hearing a bunch of scuttlebutt about Remington discontinuing the LVSF style rifles, or maby it was just the 221FB, can't remember, anyways haven't seen it for that price since and I've been looking.

Cajun Blake found a contact somewhere that had a bunch pretty cheap with a Remington rebate. I bought one and it ended up being a little over $525 including the transfer fee I had to pay to my gunshop. I found the post and bumped it to the top in the clasifieds. It was last November, so I don't know what the chances are he has any more or how much they'll be. I know the rebate had to be postmarked before 12/31/07. Good luck.

Kevin,

the LVSF rifles were discontinued by Rem last summer and the wholesalers priced them cheap to make space on the shelves. I had a contact in AL that was selling them for around $575 +$ 10 s/h IIRC. He moved close to 200 rifles (LVSF 22-250, 221, 223, 17 Rem) in less than 2 months. Rem also offered a $50 cash back so the rifles came out to $525 as Jay mentioned.

I'm pretty sure I referred about 10 saubier members to gundealer in AL.

The wholesalers sold out by December 2007. Many gunshops jumped on these rifles and have them priced at $625 - $725 on the internet classifieds.

hope this helps

Thumbs up Thanks for the replies!!

It appears that, for me, "If ya snooze, ya lose....ya sleep, ya weep!".

Well......guess I'll just have to keep an eye out for a 204R.

Thanks again,
Kevin

Default Kevin,

If it's any help, Dick's had the M700 SPS package rifle in 223 or 22-250 for $499 recently. Sale went off Saturday, 7/19, but you might be able to sweet talk them if they still have any left.

On Aug 1st there will be a 40.00 rebate on all SPS models.
