Neck turning some cases for a 20PPC....
......well.....210 cases, to be exact.
I finally got around to using the gearmotor assembly that I made a couple of years ago. Wow.....I never thought that life could be so good!! I even found a way to "fine" adjust the rotating neck, for turning. Here's a pic. Kevin |

Very nice work Kevin..
Glad to see your equipment being put to good use.
I think the 20ppc is one of the best choices for the accuracy oriented 20 cal varmint shooter, good speed, great accuracy, and some good gore factor as well.Took the 22ppc Cooper to the range yesterday and won 1st place in the "Factory Varmint" class.Glad I bought all that Norma 22ppc brass back when Midway had a sale. Drill
Hi, I recently turned 200 rounds of 20BR brass. My approach is to use a battery powdered drill (Ryobi) with a 1/2 inch drill chuck. The case goes in the drill chuck. This works really well. I have never turned brass by hand. I have used this apporach on .308 Win (100 cases), 6.5-284 (500 cases), 6x47Lapua (300 cases), & now 20BR.

An unintended benefit......
......of using the Forster collet, is that the 1/4" hex shaft, of my adapter for my Whitetail Primer Pocket Uniformer, is a slip-fit in the collet recess. So, I just tighten it up.....and go.
Pic attached. Life is good......or better. Kevin P.S. 6BRBB:Yep.....I had used a drill for a long time. I just got tired of charging batteries, inconsistent torque/speed, chuck wobble,.........and my dang thumb kept going numb from triggering the drill. |
