Ray,

I am very sorry to learn of your loss. Hopefully, insurance will replace the things that can be replaced, and time and faith will eventually heal the the scars.

You and your wife will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Terrible news. Any idea how it started?
How's the insurance coverage? Half million in guns n stuff I know, just to start with.
Best to you folks in getting your lives sorted out and put back together.

Not sure if Ray's going to be online any time soon. His computer Is fried, so I'll jump in. It was electrical...related to an AC unit and light extension cord. Lesson learned. I'll be in touch with him and will keep you all posted.

Thanks Charlie, it don't need much to burn a persons life up.

I tried to burn my place down about 20yrs ago.
Ran the vac real good to make sure the powder spilled from Lee's measure's was cleaned up. Had nine jugs of powder under my desk and set there with a bucket of water next to my foot dropping cast boolits in it, and putting the sprues back in the melt. Til I dropped one on the carpet! YIKES the smoke that hit me in the face instantly! Didn't have time to even kick the bucket over on the way out. Turned the fans on, told the wife to get the animals outside and be ready to call the fire dept. Took a deep breath and ran back in to kick the bucket over and it was out. Just burnt all the fuzz off the carpet about 3' dia. Man if that had gotten another foot to the jugs!!!!

Lesson learned, do all that stuff outside now!

I know what you mean George. My wood/coal furnace has gotten away from me a few times. Melted the paint off the side and the stove pipe was cherry red. It can happen in an instant.

I'll be sure to keep in touch with Ray and pass on all of the kind words.

Ray, it's a heartbreaker! Can't even
imagine what it's like going through this. Thanks be to God that Judy (and you) was not in the house sleeping! You will pull through it but in the mean time don't forget to ask for help! I already told my boss that if something comes up I may need to burn some vacation on a short notice. Or anything else I could assist with. Take care, and you both are in my prayers everyday.

Default Very sorry Ray...

The most important thing is that you and your wife are ok.
Things can be replaced.Of course certain things may be harder to replace than others and by no means am I making light of this but I thank God that you both
have survived this.I hope the rebuild process goes as smoothly as possible for you both.God bless you both during this tough time.

Smile RayH update.........

I spoke, a bit, with Ray yesterday.

He's doing a little better.......still, a lot of work ongoing with his brother's help.

Ray asked me to convey his thanks, for everyone's comments and understanding.
