I think the Berger boxes I have all have part numbers, but I would have to dig them out to make sure. The small HP (<1mm diameter meplat) are the match or target bullets that are so effective for coyotes in 17 Rem. The MEF or varmint bullets have larger meplat, maybe 1.5mm diameter HP. The varmint labeled bullets are great on small varmints, like PDs, but they can produce larger surface wounds on coyotes and not as much penetration. Hope this helps some. If needed, I can dig out the boxes to makes sure of part numbers or descriptions on the boxes, but it will take a while.
Mine are all 25 gr. bullets. Last edited by TinMan; 11-23-2019 at 10:55 PM. Reason: addded info |

Darn, should have thought about that. Boxes are still sealed.

The Bergers can be very confusing, boxes often were marked Match target or Match varmint, then you had MEF and have some of those labeled Match MEF. When I run across old stock if not marked Match Target, or MEF I like to get a look at the tip if possible.
