your gonna have to trim the necks if you use Lapua brass with a .232 neck.

Try it first, the neck will always be somewhat larger than the reamer is ground to. Depends on lots of things like how goo the gunsmith is and how tight the pilot fits the bore. Larry

If you are not going to use an expander ball, you will need to try the brass you select because the neck wall thickness will determine your bushing diameter. Larry

The standard chamber neck diameter for the 20-222 is .235". At least that's what Pac-Nor reamed their "standard" neck to in a 3 groove barrel I am aware of. The bushing will depend on the brass you are using & the bullet tension you want. Win brass takes a .226" bushing, Lapua Brass takes a .228" bushing in the rifle I have knowledge of. Loaded diameter is .002" larger. This gives plenty of room for the neck to chamber regardless of brass used so no neck turning is required. If your neck diameter is .232" you may have to turn necks with certain brass, as .230" loaded diameter may get a little tight as things foul. Like they say, "Your results may differ"!

It would be best to know the neck diameter of the reamer used ,and usually best to have brass neck diameter .002 less than that of the reamer ,with a bullet loaded in the case .
