Does anyone know how much Larry Blackmon charges for a 6mm swaging set? (Point up, core seating, and core swaging)

Someone posted a pdf file of a Blackmon Catalog over on the Castboolits forum in the swaging sub-forum.
The prices there looked comparable to the Corbins' prices, but I did not see a date on the catalog in a quick scan through. Cheers Trev |

Pretty sure my friend padi around $350 for his set. Steel dies. Won the HBR Nationals last year with bullets from them.

I found the price list! Looks like itīs 520$ including one press. Is the Blackmon press any good? Better than a converted RCBS press?
How annoying is it to have just one press? Should I get three right away, or is one enough to get started? |

By the way, I will be making less than 10K bullets per year.
Also, does anyone have a clue on how long the dies will last? |

Larry's steel dies should do about 50K before they begin to wear. Even then they will still make quality bullets, but you will need to make some adjustments to allow for the wear. For anything other than a commercial operation, they should be all you'll ever need. I'm waiting on a 308 point die to replace one that was damaged. I'm looking at a 6 month wait right now.
I have one of Larry's presses. It's alright, but I use a Rockchucker for core swaging and seating. Rick |

If I'da had a RockChucker, woulda bought the swaging conversion and 3 die set from Blackmon for $465. Was lucky, got a used Corbin press at a deal, bought the Blackmon dies($380 ?) , I'm happy ! Much quicker delivery than Corbin, somewhat less expensive.

You just gotta tell him you're using a Corbin - he'll send you dies/punches/ejector pin to match.
