Default WTB Remington 580/581 action

I wouldn't mind a compete rifle, but I'm wanting to build a .22 ladybug on the platform. A complete action would be ideal, as I want to mount a fast twist barrel to it, and experiment with heavy subsonic bullets with the tiny case capacity...

There's an action only on Gunbroker for $20 bucks. No bolt.

I've got a 540x complete action that was worked over by Brian voelker. Very light trigger and has scope bases. The action has been threaded to accept a threaded barrel like a typical bolt Action. It has the rimfire bolt though. $275 shipped.

Thanks guys, let me mull over those options for a few days. I'm really kind of looking for something in the middle as far as price and quality... but I should probably bite the bullet and get the 540X action that's already threaded and worked over...

Think you would be money ahead and all set to go with that one. Bill K

Have an action on the shelf that is available for $175.
Was going to use it to build a 17 Ackley Hornet, then stumbled onto a finished rifle.
