Default Anyone use .20 cal bib or Blackhole bullets for coyotes?

Looking for anyone with experience using the .20 cal 40gr bib or 45gr Blackhole bullets on coyotes.

Thanks

Have used the Blackhole 35 grain Cup base DT's on coyotes. Drops them in their tracks, entrance with no exit. Used them in both 20 SCC and 20-223AI. Bill K

Thanks Bill

These will be for the 20-223 Improved I'm building with 1-10". I don't plan on shooting anything lighter than 39gr SBK's which I've heard mixed results on so looking at the two bullets listed.

Don't know what you have heard re: the 39 BK's, but they usually work very well in the 20 caliblers, where as the 40 grain don't. Shoot very well in my 20-223ai 1/11 twist, should be fine in your 1/10. And they work well on yotes also. Bill K

I’ve had very good luck on coyotes with 39 bk in a .204. I’ve shot several of them with this Bullets and they hardly ever run.

Have used the 40gr BIB with great success as others have also. When I talked to Randy about them a few years back, he said that he started making them for himself and friends to use on coyotes, so it was kind of developed with that in mind. I shoot them in a Krieger 12 twist in 20Tactical and yes, the 12 twist stabilizes them...they work in all of my 11 twists as well...204, 20BR, 20Blitz, 20Practical.
I really like the 39 Sierra, probably one of the most accurate bullets in its class, but on close shots when bullet is still running fast, you will get some that "splash"...even Sierra recommends running them no more than a certain velocity...cannot remember exactly, but somewhere around 3650...I run mine 3800+. I have shot coyotes in the 100yd range and gotten bad results but when out around 200yds or more, they were DRT...the bullet had scrubbed some velocity by that point.
An often overlooked bullet is the 39gr Speer for coyotes...if I had only 1 20 cal bullet to use for coyotes, this would be it.

Three .20 Practicals, AR 1-10, two bolt guns 1-11. I have never found a more accurate .20 caliber bullet than BIB 40s.

The 39gr SBK's are very accurate in the majority of 1:12 barrels. At least, they were for me and many others posting on this site. My issue with them on coyotes was splashing in the shoulder area. I'm no fan of coyotes but even they deserve a better end than that. I realize the 35gr Berger is lighter than you want, but that is what I went to in my 204R with great accuracy and excellent terminal performance. Usually easy to find on the shelf, as well.

Same here as far as the "splash" effect on coyotes. Agree on the 35 Berger as well as the 40BIB and my favorite...39 Speer.
