Ho-kay, 'scuse my igornance, but isn't the function of a bore guide really pretty simple? A proper case with a hole drilled in the back, and a plastic-welded tube that extends up to the shoulder, OR a soldered brass tube from your local hobby store, a sleeve or two to go 'round it, and soldered/epoxied/butt-welded together some kind of sticky-outy peg to halfway simulate a bolt handle and hold it in place ... with a little malice aforethought, I could replicate the function of all those bore guides I paid good money for. When you consider all the varied guns we accumulate, they add up.
Two words of caution; "Don't step over a dollar to get to a dime."
As Edith Bunker said, "If you watch the pennies, the dollars will take care of themselves."
Make it three; "If you spend when you don't need, you'll need when you can't spend."
All that for free! Isn't Saubier a great bunch of people?!? (Thanks Jim!)

Have done this several times, works well, some slight disadvantages over a full length guide but does a good job of keeping the rod OD off the leade.

If the diameter of the case is the same or smaller than the 17HMR, the PROPER 17HMR BORE GUIDE might work
