Is he sizing .375 down to .22? You are taking the body of a 223 case and squeezing it down to hold a 22 bullet. This is significant deformation of the metal. This single operation might be equivalent to 30 typical firing/reloading cycles on a standard case.

Hi strkr,

I have several reasons, (1) to experiment to lean the basic, (2) I do have .221 FB, (3) people recommend to do the resizing in increments.

Hi flyrod,

thank you for the reference. In a sense, it is good to be a noob, having the experience of the community to learn.

Kindest regards,

M

Default Mystery solved?

Greetings all,

a member on a different forum suggested that I measure the shell holder. I measure from the face that contacts the bottom of the case to the top surface and the measurement is 0.130 inch.

Supposedly, the standard is 0.125 inch, which would account for the difference I measure.

Could you suggest a quality shell holder?

Kindest regards,

M
