That's what I understand, using maximum loads as a starting point. That may be to prevent the possibility of a double load.

I'm about to do it myself with a 17 Rem. but probably won't get to it until after Christmas.

I sure don't want to jinx things.
But, our rifle club has been open since about '73 and the only shooting accident so far. A guy shot his own finger tip off in the early '80's.

There's been over 400 members since about '85 and 800 plus since '02.
Show's shooting firearm's is pretty darned safe I'd think.

There's a lot of rattlesnake's out there too. Far as I know, nobody has been bitten yet. Though, several of us have found quite afew at times/over the years. Found one between my toes when moving a barrel once, tipped two old drums of burned trash over. Bottom came off one, snake in the can's just under the bottom. The other broke off about half way up and there was another in the top bit of trash. Just about stuck my hands on those two. Makes for tension after several of them in short order like that was in two days.

I'd much rather be among shooters.
