Thank You, who would have thought these junk Rugers could shoot well enough to hit little rats in a field with ease.

Be safe, hope you don't get too much moisture!

Great report! Snazzy wood and accuracy to boot, doesn't get any better, as the good Colonel would have said, "Now that's an interesting rifle" .
Looking forward to the next report where an umbrella isn't needed .

I haven't either, kinda embarrassing ain't it ?? At least I had a real solid old fashion Montana winter to blame.
I have an older reloading book from Speer I believe that speaks highly of 2015BR and I have almost all of an 8lb keg I'd sure like to burn up in something so that's the only powder I've tried, now that's "really embarrassing"!!
Any one hear from Swift.220?, he's the one got us interested in those? I think I'll start a thread to see what others like in their Duce's, know I had a friend who was fond of Win. 748.
By the way, I need to get interested in another hopped up Rim-Fire like I need another hole in my wallet, but that critter you have there is indeed interesting! Keep us posted on it.

Now all you need to do is get that puppy threaded and screw a can on the end of it. I shoot my Bmag 17 WSM suppressed 100% of the time and you'll giggle like a little school girl every time you pull the trigger because they're only about as loud as a pellet gun.

We actually had a dry day today all day....... With a 95 degree temp and humidity almost high enough to match. But it was dry enough for golf this AM. Life is good.

I guess I'll have to chase down some of the 15 grain WSM stuff before our next "field trip"......

I am tempting fate, but ordered a ruger 17 wsm today. I went with the blue 20” barrel model. I have 1000 of the Winchester 15 grain rounds waiting for the gun. Prairie dogs in a couple weeks... Can’t possibly be another good shooting ruger, but I hope so.

Awesome.....let us know how it shoots. I'm curious about that model with the sporter barrel, (I think I need one).

One thing I'll recommend.........

Ruger is going to have the action screws torqued somewhere around 50 inch/lbs on the front screw and 40 on the rear............WAY TOO HIGH

My rifle was "double grouping" at that heavy of torque.

I backed down to 25 inch/lbs on both front and rear...........problem solved.

Just an FYI to "play" with the action screw torque if your not satisfied with accuracy.

Also, leave the "pressure pad" in the front of the barrel channel alone. My experience is these 77 Ruger hornets/rimfires shoot best with light action screw torque....20-25inch lbs and a pressure pad up front.

Keep us posted.......I'm excited for you.
