Bill K,

You are a hard man to do business with! You need to read the entire thread starting on page one. There are photo's of the chrony screen with the fps shown................

Talking Must have been swamp Gass then.

Well, you know someone must think my pos chronograph had a hypersonic gnat fly across the skyscreens, but since I have not seen a gnat fly that fast, as it just isn't possible that a .172" 17grain from a 26" Remington 700 17FB may have actually been why the chronograph registered something speedy.

Yes, I suppose I am. Maybe just too old and been playing with firearms, etc. for over 74 years causes it. But, not matter, you play safe and sound and enjoy our sport. Bill K

When you run the numbers through QL it gives you fairly similar results, within 50fps or so.

It'll vary depending on seating depth and how close to the lands they're seated but considering this bullet is fairly short I doubt it's being seated anywhere close to the lands. QL shows it being over 61,000 PSI load with 50gr of N540 and those 30gr bullets.
