Wink Saubier Small Calibres.

Following the discussion about the possible production of a "Saubier Action", a friend of mine suggested the creation of a "Saubier Cartridge". Given the decreasing viability of big calibres and the massive increase in interest in small calibres (due to more small land-holdings/noise/ general shrinking of hunting ranges/ population increase etc), there could be a real opportunity for the gifted to come up with a calibre uniquely our own. With noise being a factor for many, may I suggest using the 221 fireball case in a shortened form. The options could be For a .17, .20 and .22 short Fireball called (logically enough) .17 Saubier, .20 Saubier, and .22 Saubier. The advantage would be much better brass than we get now for a Hornet, with zero stretching and minimal re-sizing. Plus, we would have a cartridge that we would all have the same specs for, and be able to help each other enormously comparing data and tips. It's just an idea, but, if Jim didn't mind...........?
So, if you'd like to shoot your Saubier Cartridge from your Saubier Action, how would you like this?

Use the 22 TCM case!

I don't think, the thinking here, is thought similarly enough in what we think is the best cartridge/action-that's just my thoughts on this thinking, though!

I'am working on a "shortened" version of the 20 VT. Never considered naming it anything other than a "20 VT Short".
Just looking for a CF round with the least amount of recoil, (so I can see my hits through the scope without using a muzzle brake) thus, keeping the noise down.
Started with .221 Fireball brass, (or .223 if that's what you like) and shortened it by .200". Ending up with a case length of 1.200". 14 grains of powder to the shoulder neck junction should be real easy on the recoil.
Some of the Guys mentiones it's close to other rounds already out there but it's something I just had to try. Lots of work getting a good case but it's the process to get there that's the fun part. And a BIG learning process too.
And, you're never too old to learn something new!

That's what I thought ,Bill.
If you guys can't agree on a common action/bolt face, what chance a common caliber!
