Smile Wbc 2013

Well, here we are at the World Benchrest Championships in Australia. 14 countries represented, and some tiny groups being shot. South Africa 1st at 100 yards in Light, USA 2nd and 3rd. Today is Heavy 100 yards. Then, 200 yards light, and 200 yards Heavy. A great bunch of fella's all-round. Wish you were all here to see this.

Take a look around for an old guy with a 6'3" dark haired beauty about half his age. She's likely to be shooting and he will be.
One of our own on here: Ian Owen, aka:

Spotted some pics: http://benchrestforum.ca/index.php?topic=455.0

Looks like Ian stepped in front of a camera fair and square.

Yep, recognized him instantly. Looks good don't he?
Did you get to meet "Shorty" yet?
You've gotta meet that lady. Don't be shocked at her height
it's the beauty that wins the ribbons. How he collected her is what
I'd like to find out. Thanks much for sharing the picture. Now go get
one taken of Helen, ok?

Good shootin to all of you.

Had a chat to Kiwi Shooter today. Man, the celebrities that are here! He's the real deal, and shoots like it too. Good feller, and it's amazing where you run into Saubier members.I think we need a .17 Ackley Hornet/.17 Mach 1v class here. I suggested using one while changing targets, but there were 60mph wind gusts, and I think they would struggle a little bit. Tony Boyer shot yesterday. 1572 agg for 5 x 5 shot groups at 100 yards. Just smashed the other 81 shooters. That guy defies description!

WBC all over. USA too good overall. USA won Light, Italy won Heavy, and USA got the 2-Gun prize. In the teams, it was USA 1st, South Africa 2nd, Australia 3rd. A memorable week, featuring some of the nicest people you would ever meet from 14 countries. It was a real pleasure!
