Default It's a varmint rifle

Picked up a 1899 TD in 25/35. Close examination reveals it's a rebored 22 HP. Otherwise it is original. Not D+T, no bloody recoil pad. Derived from that case so why not? Gonna shoot light bullets for coyote, p-dogs and etc. Came with a box of ammo, one round fired.
Will compare case dimensions with a drawing.
Have a new Marble's tang sight on one 99, I'll see how it shoots on this one.

Had to reread your post, should be a fun plinker.

That's the neat thing with 99's, the rotary magazine that you can use pointy bullets in. 75 grain Vmax's should work well....

That's a pretty cool find indeed. Yes - the 75gr. might be the ticket for yotes.
