I am sure it can be done, but your gunsmith would also have to open the HMR bolt fact some. Ask one and go from there.

I believe the 17 WSM has a higher chamber pressure. Eric would be a good source to verify if possible to convert.

Much higher psi and bolt thrust. It's too bad that CZ cant change the bolt on the 527 to turn into a .17 WSM.

Eric had a CZ 452 rimfire made into a 5mm, so if you really wanted one a smith should be able to do the same with a CZ rimfire in 17HMR to 17WSM. It's unfortunate that CZ doesn't chamber for the 17wsm, because it would probably be the best rifle that round will ever see. I read and have friends that say it is one hell of a foxing round!

Though they certainly aren't cheap if someone really wants a nice 17 WSM and one in a repeater that you know will function properly all the time do a RimX 17 WSM build.

They will set you back a few coins but the 17 WSM's TS Customs has been building are very nice.

Or just build a 17 Mink on the CZ.

I want to go over and talk with them about that. I am only 10 miles from where they make the actions. LW has prefit barrels also. That's a lot of coin for a rimfire. The Savage B series .17hmr and .22 mag/ lr action is what they should have built the Bmag on. With a far more rigid receiver and an actual barrel nut, instead of the cluster @#$% they use would make a far stronger rifle. I have no idea why they would have built the BMag like they did. I am really tempted to epoxy in the gap around the front of the barrel and front of the receiver.
