Default Add a vacuum to catch the dust

Could clamp the hose to the discharge side of the cutoff wheel and it would pick up most, if not all of the dust.

Nice job Harold. I like the 2.0 reference.

I ran 100 pieces through my set up without any problems. They came out the same length and were easy to finish with a conventional trimmer.

Safety glasses and ear plugs are a must.

Still have all my fingers.

Flashhole: Don't brag, just keep cutting and you'll be a blood n tissue donor yet!
Ask me how I know these things: Re: table saw's bit me twice, thumb and three fingers. Only thing that's saved most of them, I adjusted the blades first to barely clear, otherwise ---------!!

Even one of those 4 1/2" small grinders nearly cost me a thumb web once.
Never under estimate these powered toys fellas. They WILL BITE!
and every time: Damn it's hurt too! Then it's months healing things up.
I've got lots of practice at healing, good thing the way I donate blood and tissue at times. Now the medics are trying to see if I can keep with them!

Default You have a really neat idea!

Hi
Really nice.
In the interest of safety it might be a good idea to rotate the whole thing 180degrees so you would be facing the cut off blade side instead the Demel tool. Then you wouldn't reach over the blade while sliding the wooden case holder while cutting off the case.
Bye,

Bill

Not bragging George.

I'm 62 years old. I've been using all forms of power tools my entire adult life. I've worked at industrial metal fabrication shops (lots of dangerous chit), chemical manufacturing plants, aircraft fabrication facilities and lots of other activities where unusual tools are used on a routine basis. As a farm owner I work with my tractors and implements and my favorite tools are my big chain saws. I get it that you have to keep your wits about you. I've never once been hurt by a tool I've used. I simply pay attention to the dangers and don't put myself in a bad situation. I find it highly unlikely my Dremel is going to do me damage if I simply keep my wits about me when using it.

FH:
Dad used to say: "anyone that's lived as long as I have and never had an accident or bad health problems is just damned lucky, that's all".

Good for you! Best of luck keeping it that way.
