Default OT Update

I went to Philadelphia yesterday to Jefferson Hospital. The Doctors took us into a room and I knew it was not going to be good as one Doctor had a tear in her eye. My Cancer is incurable. They are going to give me a medicine once every three weeks that will give me a few more months but that is all they can do. I decided to get the medicine. My wife is devastated as any would be. I have been given the "Make you as comfortable as possible" script and will use it when the time comes. I fought hard just ran out of ammunition. This Cancer is living in the connecting lines of my Lymph Nodes. It's like whack a mole. You cut one off and another pops up right next to it. Even cutting everything off won't stop it. It will just appear somewhere else. I have a lot to do before I become bed ridden. They didn't tell me how long and I don't think they really know. So I am going to get at it. Thanks for all your support and prayers.

Steve

... "My cancer is incurable." That's got to slam you right in the face! So very sorry to hear that. +1 on the bucket list, and prepare as best one can.

Sorry to say that, beyond that, I'm speechless. Prayers continue.

I remember that doc speech from when I went in with my dad nearly 10 yrs ago. I truly am sorry you got to hear that one. Keep your chin up. Keep up the fight. You're not under the grass yet. Dad lasted a year and a half after that speech. You never know...

If you get up this way to visit family, let me know...

Charlie

Default Sad to Hear That.

Stevo,
we have never met but I feel like I know you somewhat since I enjoy reading your posts. I'm sorry to hear of your news, like others have said, keep your head up, doctors have been proven wrong before.
If you come over towards Lancaster Pa, let me know, always enjoy talking small caliber or possibly shooting groundhogs with fellow Saubier members.
You'll be in our thoughts and prayers,
a friend on Saubier,
Stan
