How were the loads in relation to max pressure? I found that groups were all over until you get closer to max then they settled in nicely.

Lil gun loads
Interesting, I loaded at lower end, 9.7 lil gun and 20 gr vmax.
I’ll try some heavier charges. |

I have used lil gun in the 22Hornet with good results, I will admit has been a while.
I used lil gun in my 357 magnum TC loads. Shooting in a regular 40 round match, by the last 5 shot string barrel was extremely hot. Anyone have experience with 17HH or 22 Hornet and it getting hot fairly quick? |

Lil gun
I use lil gun exclusively in both my 22 hornets. It’s fast and accurate.

Careful increasing the powder charges. In Hornady or Privi brass I found 9.8 too hot in my CZ. At 9.6 grains I am getting just over published max velocity, no pressure signs and .3 MOA to 300 yards so that is where I shoot it. Try using Fed SR match primers or a light crimp to see if neck tension is causing the larger groups. DO NOT use Small Pistol primers like we all do in the 22 H. The 17 H is too high pressure for the pistol primers.
