Yes amazing how much grass rabbits can eat, although I think your Jack Rabbits are more like what we here call Hares. Hares are much bigger and do not dig warrens like rabbits.
One I prepared earlier,

Flyrod,
yes it was a good weekend and thanks.

Could not encourage you more than to go on a hunt. We were at this property middle of winter and it was only -10 Celsius.

SEM
You're welcome.

I sympathize with you about losing places to shoot on, we are loosing them also as the farmers get older and retire from farming. Then they get sold to the Chinese.

Like you I like to see how and where others hunt in the world. Georges friend Jack was over here earlier this year.

Eagle view,
You might not believe it but that area is in the worst drought since 1886. Just two weeks before we went to the farm they had 37 mills of rain which is why the green tinge to the grass. During the last week they have had more rain so I am hoping they have a decent summer.

Dungheap,
Mate I am no way in the same league as Silver Fox. His posts are just the best. But I thank you for the compliment.

Screaminweasil,
I have wanted a Sako L461 in 222 for quite awhile, one of the main reasons is so my youngest daughter and I can go shoot rabbits with the same rifles. Hers is a Sako L461 in 17 Remington but they are nearly identical to look at.
Skye and Sako 17

Johno,
You know you have a permanent invite.

Pete

Pete:
Great write up and pictures. Been wondering when
you'd get around to posting this after telling me about
it awhile back.

Good luck with the meds ordeal mate.

Kiwi you should look closely at those photos as that is where I will be taking you when you get here !

Only 16 more trips to the hospital and I will be done

Hi George,
I had it written up for over a week but needed to re-read it several times as not thinking the best at present.
