Well did you stick him?
My oldest son has taken over hunting the home place. I maintain the trail cameras.

Default Trail cam

Barry,

Which model of Bushnell camera did you use to take those photos? Are you happy with it? Does it take decent night photos?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Thanks

Bushnell X-8, programmable to take pics when you want (for seeing the directions they are coming from or going to), batteries in mine have been in since October and taking over a 100 photos a day, are still going. Small, takes videos too. Relatively inexpensive. Only thing I would like to see is it made in camo with a camo strap. It's pretty easy to spot when the woods are bare. My next one will be the one with a data line so I can watch it at home.

I got these from a guy on 24HR Campfire, they were 2010-2011 demo models. They do 3, 5 or 8 MP and have the infra-red flash. Like Hog says, they are excellent on battery life. I don't have any of the brand new Bushnells, but I like these.

Cons:I don't like the red blinking light when it takes pics, the bigger bucks see it at night and focus in on it. Plus if there are any trespassers around, they can see it easily too.

I picked up a used Reconyx that I really like as well. They are top of the line, but spendy. It's almost as much fun as trapping, going out and checking them to see what you've " caught".

I've used the cheaper wild game innovations and am not impressed. Trigger speed is slow an d 2 have failed to work after 1 yr. Me and a buddy purchased the moultrie a5 and love them. Only used one season but trigger speed is good they hold up well. Nice picture and video. My buddy shot a buck in front of mine and it snapped a picture confirming the hit and what direction it went. Was pivotal in recovering it. These cameras can be found on sale for 55. But they work like a camera double the cost.
