Here are the high Warne rings with the Vortex scope. It is high but with the stock bolt handle I don't think I would go lower.

This is the way to go. My 527 has front and rear scope ring pads that aren't on the same plane.....the rear is .009" lower than the front. These bases with Burris Signature rings and the problem is solved.

Greg (Mulerider) sent me his Warne Maxima mediums and with the .425 height and my Vortex Viper scope all the way towards me as far as it will go, the bolt touched. Being the great guy Greg is, he said if they didn't fit to send them back and he'd rip up my check. His medium rings went back today's mail. Thanks again Greg. (another standup Saubier forum member trying to help another member, love it) I liked the Warnes though and found a couple pairs of 30mm highs (.535) at Brownells for the same price as CZ highs which also seem scarce, so they threw them in the mail and I should have them Saturday. I expect they'll work fine on both my rifle and my friend's son's 204. I considered the "lifts" pictured and may do a set anyhow for myself, and would have gotten them if I couldn't locate Warne Highs. Thanks to all who helped provide insight, I appreciate it. Jim
