I think the 20Practical shoulder angle is 23 degrees just like a 223.
The 204Ruger and the 20Tac are both 30 degree shoulders if I understand correctly. |

204-
If he used a 204R reamer in short 223 length 30 degree shoulder = 20 Tac
next move, if dies (204R I assume) are cut off make case and try it, if not cut .100 off and make a case and try it. sgtg out |

There may not need to do anything.
If your brass fit's your chamber The shortened 204 die's should load it just fine. Personally I like the long neck. I can send you a couple pieces of my brass if you wish to compare. It don't need a special name. Kenny My guess the 204 chamber was just shortened, no reamer needed.

Thanks for all the help. I do have 50 brass made from this short die and they fit nicely into the chamber. This is a great looking cartridge but I have a 20Practical and well over 1000 prepped brass. I think I'll just can this project and re-chamber the barrel.

I have a 20P that started out life (with me anyway) as a 20 tac and I didn't want to buy dies and form brass. I'm glad I made the change. for me the whole idea of this gun was "KIS" .. I have plenty of others that I can spend all of my free time making brass and so forth.
