Had a similar set up several years back. I highly suggest a strip of tape on the scope tube to keep the gasses from working on the finish.

I thought about that, not sure if it do anything. It clears the barrel, just barely, and looking through the bore i dont see the scope. I know it looks ridiculous but i want to give it a try, as long as its safe and nothing gets damaged. I have a 200 yard range and it would be nice to have the extended magnification. The reticle has thick crosshairs so i dont think this is the long term solution.

I just got it and the few shots ive taken were with no sights, just to see what it felt like. Over the next couple weeks i hope to get out and try and work up some loads. I may only do 50 yards to start. I also will probably be changing out the scope, i have a 3-12 burris handgun scope that may be more appropriate on the gun. Ill post my progress for you. What kind of guns are yours, rifles, pistols??
