I am guessing the average age here is a "little" older than most sights.

"Hey" Did you say older?, "what you mean by older Sonny?" . Just cause a few of us are a bit "geriatrically challenged" don't mean we act any more mature than we ever did and my beloved bride will vouch for that in a heartbeat !
Only site I go to!!

I agree completely this site is and has been, since 2006, one of my two favorite places to visit. This place has been responsible for my spending a lot of $$ trying to keep up with some of the wildcats you guys have put together, but, I don't regret a single dollar.

I always look at the classifieds hoping that I won't find something I can't live without, but I've found some nice things that I still have and enjoy.

I thought that I was over doing projects, but I have a Mini Mauser action that needs to be a rifle, I'm looking for a 223 AI reamer if someone has one to sell or loan. I have 6X47, 6X50R Mag, 6.5X307, 222 Mag, 22LR and 17HMR reamers to trade or loan should someone be interested.

I don't post much but I try not to miss a day checking in and never feel like a stranger when I do post.

Thanks, Mods and the rest of the family.

I agree, this is a great site and the people that keep it running do a fine job. It is the only forum that I have on my main menu so it is always the first to be read each day.

I agree that this is a top notch forum. One of my favorites for sure.

I think alot of it has to do with the fact that most here are into a niche. so most of us are very like minded and that creates it's own type of camaraderie.

It's nice to have a wealth of helpful kind gents to chat with on here.

Cheers!

As to the memory stuff.
My Dad bought one of first televisions from the first shipment to come into Colorado Springs which had about 40,000ish people at the time Military bases and all (the Air Force Academy wasn't built yet). I also remember all the aunts, uncles and little cousins that came by to see see it, black and white of course and in a big standing wooden box with Rabbit Ears. I had to set on my aunts lap. I remember all the stuff mentioned above and seeing the first episode of "Have Gun Will Travel" on that B&W TV as well.
Pretty amazing I can remember all that but couldn't tell ya what I did yesterday for $100.00 .
I do clearly remember when this site first came out about 1999 or 2000, I'd just got a .17 MachIV Cooper that was having some issues and had started full time on small calibers, it was like discovering a long lost home.
Two gun safes later and it's still a hoot .

This has always been the best hunting/shooting site out there. None of the nonsense that you see elsewhere and tons of useful knowledge that is always freely shared without judgement. I attribute that to the quality of people that have always hung out here. First class.

I would like to thank all of you.

Your kindness and helpfulness in sharing your knowledge, ideas and activities is a real pleasure! And yes, expensive..
