Default 5.7mm Johnson (22 Spitfire) Brass

Anybody know anything about the brass for 5.7 Johnson/22 Spitfire sold by Graf & Son, Reed's or the PCI loaded ammo? Thinking about trying one of these and trying to decide if brass is good enough for the effort (expense ). Thanks, Joe

I've necked down maybe 10 different kinds of 30 carbine brass to 22 and never had any problems. Even if there is some kind of problem with the grafs brass, there are plenty of sources for carbine brass. There is a large variability in carbine brass, so you probably don't want to mix different kinds together and try for max loads.

Yea, I would probably just buy a batch from one source and go from there. Graf's would be the most familiar source for me, but Reed's website says their brass has proper headstamp so they are having it made somewhere or maybe it is Graf's brass.

We buy the graf headstamp basic brass, neck it down, anneal it, and clean it up.

Yeah I know, I bought 500 pcs from you. Waiting to get my bolt back and then can finish putting the rifle together.
