Doug:
Once Bcb gets started he don't know when to quit!
He's had a problem with several of us over the few years.

I've had two C/S people contact me on getting this scope sorted out.
They've put a supervisor on the case now and we're working things out.
She'll get the tube lengths found Monday and we'll decide then which etc.
I'm satisfied with their service and products. Can't beat the warranty when a company backs their products. Start with cheaper stuff, when it goes haywire and they replace it with equal or better products. There's no complaints due IMO Not everyone can afford a whole flock of $700 scopes, I sure can't. I'd rather buy more guns, even though they end up getting scoped too. Can't win this hobby!

Far as Hal being in Dave's camp, I'm damned glad of that, and not in mine!!

Most of the time I'm seldom in a rush for things. This time, Jack's supposed to come for a week or two from Md and bring his chronograph, looks like he'll be headed out Monday now. Rain flooded basement, then last Monday going to a funeral knocked a rod out of his van. Replacement engine should be done today. We have plans to test fire at least 8 guns I've gotten in the past 2 years.

Another one came today. Think it's a CVA copy of a Patterson Colt cap n ball.
I have a Walker Colt and this is much smaller. Cyl is about half the length of the Walker's which takes 60gr BP. Both .44 cal. Lotsa fun to shoot and play with.

George I hope they get your issue taken care of soon. I've found that just calling back and getting another person sometimes helps with customer service issues. I be polite, never swear and just keep pushing politely for a supervisor. It's worked for me before . Sounds like ya got that handled already though so good luck!
Aside from the cursed cleaning those cap and ball revolvers are a hoot, enjoy !

Thanks Doug:
I've explained to two different one's that I can't hear on the phone to save my life hardly.
Not two out of ten I can understand.
Hotrods, heavy equipment oper, and much much shooting long before ear plugs were invented.
As you likely recall, we used a wad of rolled up TP "sometimes". Not much help was it?

Lady supervisor is on the scope thing now and will check the tube lengths Monday, then we'll get it sorted out.

I figure if that trophy scope will handle your airguns recoil both directions surely it would handle this gentle kicking .300win.
This new heavier barrel and a mercury tube has really tamed it down.
I've only fired it 7 times so far but, those was sitting on a step and 200gr GK elk loads.
Seemed plumb gentle compared to what it used to be like.

Thanks for the info and posts.

Hey, George..........

I hope you get taken care of tomorrow with a scope more compatible with the rifle that you're putting it on where you don't have to settle for a RF/air gun scope and hope for the best.

BTW - thanks for the email, and I bow to your "old School"/sage wisdom and wit......

Hey Hal:

When you get as old as some of the rest of us.
You'll be stuck in your old fashioned ways TOO!

Cheers guys,

Default Hey Doug!!

Sent a note to Julia Konack at Vista.
"some of the guys claim your Trophy scopes are only good for
air rifles and .22's, is that true??"

"no sir, NONE of OUR scopes have been tested for air rifles".

Like I felt reading that post the first time, it's all BullShit!

Told her I know of a guy in MT that is using one on his.
Just wanted to let you know, if n when it fails don't let 'em know
what caused it.
