Default Texas Attorney General on the 2nd Amendment

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/te...es/ar-BB11Oqha

My wife and I haven't been doing much shopping of any kind in the past 13? days. We are under a voluntary "stay at home" recommendation that has closed restaurants for order out only. All essential business per the recommendation that follows federal guidelines remain open. https://abc13.com/6046670/

We can go outside and walk on paths near and around a lake in our neighborhood using social distancing. We are both 70+ and my wife has an autoimmune disorder that she manages well, but it could make her extra susceptible if she were contaminated. Her imuno doctor says she has 6 of the 7 markers for Lupus, but they don't call it Lupus. Hence we have been acting much like the new addition to my sig line..........

Our fathers and grandfathers, as well as their fathers and grandfathers, have gone to war to keep our country safe in times of crisis.
They are asking us to stay at home and sit on the couch to help save our country in this time of crisis. We can handle this.......

We both have been staying busy around the homestead. Today she spent all day online judging photography competition for the Texas State Photography Association. This judging that she does yearly with about 15 other people is normally done at a state photography convention, but due to the current situation, the convention in San antonio was cancelled and the judging was done totally online using current computer technology. My activities and contributions so far have been far less insignificant.

Several gun shops that I frequent are still open as are most gun shops in the greater Houston area. One medium sized shop with usually normal good prices closed temporarily last week to take 3 days to build stock back up. Their shelves were going bare faster than they could replace shelf stock of both guns and ammunition as they did in normal times. They were open today with good stock amounts of all kinds on shelves and more on the way. The owner sent me a couple of cell phone pictures this PM. The run on guns has been significant here according to everyone in the business.

I guess I got sidetracked a bit, but just curious how things are in other parts of the country on 2nd Amendment issues?

Article in the paper the other day
several gun shops claimed they've been
selling 20-50 guns a day, where most of the time
they haven't sold that many in a month.

Not much ammo in stock though.

IF I have the count right, there's six here with the cv now.
First guy is over it: mid 30's, had been in Seattle when it broke out.

One 81 y.o lady died, now all women + 47, 48, 80, 82.

Hope this passes soon everywhere.

Friend in Lethbridge said his son's g/f was told to get on the plane
and go back home to Spain. Right in the middle of the worst of it.

Where;s the common sense to that where she was healthy and been
there a few years? Hope she don't get sick with it.

I went to the local Murdochs Ranch and Home Supply to buy a pair of work boots this Saturday. The gun department was looking a little low but the still had a couple of Mini 14's and 8 or 9 AR15's. There ammo had been picked over pretty well. There was a dozen or so 20 round packs of 223 no 9mm, 40, 357 or 45 ammo. But a bunch of 38, 22L.R, shot shells and general hunting ammo as well as the odd ball pistol ammo (10mm, 357 Sig ect.). The state (Montana) was just put on the stay at home order this Friday at 12:00 but schools bars restaurants and casinos have been closed for awhile now.

My local gun store is on shorter hours, no more than five customers at one time. They also work by appointment. A friend called and a big box store in his town is pretty much out of guns, not much ammo to buy. I am more concerned about powder, I have primers and the rest. I do have enough powder for quite a while, but one wonders how long this will last.

Academy's ammo selection was mostly gone by end of last week.

Friend mentioned that some local gun stores had sold out of guns, and were asking people to bring in their guns that they wanted to sell on consignment... 30% of total sales price they keep?!

Ammo on shelves in Nebraska is running low. My Brother in Law said the main gun store/ Pawn shop in Grand Island has plenty of powder and reloading supplies. I just picked up 2 cases of .17 WSM off of GB for $100 shipped. Ever since the Clinton days, I make sure I have more than enough of everything I shoot, including .22lr. I think I do need to call my local GS I work with and sell a couple of 9mm handguns and possibly put some rifles up on GB that I will seldom to never shoot so I can "reinvest" in different ones I will seldom shoot

Biggest problem I have is my CCP expired in Feb, after 30 days will need "new" permit extra 15$. Classes have been cancelled for the last month and I heard county sheriff stop excepting permit to purchase forms(high new gun buyer #), not sure about the CCP won't matter until I can attend class. Don't recall reading anything about forms or classes in the constitution.
