55gr .204 balistic coeficent?
I have been working on a 55gr .204 bullet, so far it shows some real promise. Does anyone have a way of deciding BC? I found a basic formula in a loading manual but it works out to around .250, I think its better than that. Thanks Bob |

best way I know is to zero at 100 yards then take it out to 4-500 yards and check drops then interpolate the data with your muzzle velocity= BC

http://www.jbmballistics.com/ballist...culators.shtml offers more than one method of calculating BC.

The reason I chose an 8 ogive , I have the ability of doing a 10 ogive, but there a lot harder to get to shoot like this. Shooting both Ogives at 500yds there is no difference in drop or wind drift. |

What kind of speed could you get out of the .204 with this bullet and what powder and weight did you use.
