Default 5mm Mag gold inlay

This didn’t come like this nor did I intend for this to happen but way back when I got the hots for the 5mm Mag and finally found a contender barrel I ordered it sight unseen… I think it was only like 150. When I received it there was gold inlay on the engraving… at first sight I figured since the 5mm Mag is so special then this was something special TC did for the 5mm Mag.

Some odd years later I found myself bidding on a scoped 22 hornet with a gold inlay frame in a 22 Hornet and won the bid. Like how many fames and barrels does one guy need anyhow. Financially hard time hits later so I put it up for sale for a few days with no takers and came to my senses and decided to keep it and lose weight.

Well just tonight I was messing around with the 5mm mag barrel seeing where the F/P hit on the rim when I realized the frame I installed it on matched…. Cant say that I am aver found of the gold inlay stuff but at any rate thought it was cool that I have a matching frame/barrel set….

shhhhh. i stole the sign off the country road

Thanks Matt. Funny how things work out. Now to decide of I should swap sights/scope or not. I'll look for info on where that sign came from, my wife and or kids got it for me some years back.

Default 5mm Rimfire Ammo

I remember the ammo at about $5 something a box of 50. A truckload would be maybe $50,000. Still want a truckload of ammo Kenbro. Don't know if Remington still makes the stuff. I do know Remington made 2 rifles for 5mm.

I bought a sign like that a couple of years ago at Wall Drug, if my memory is correct. Also, could that gold inlay have come from some of the gold inlay material that Forster used to sell for guys to touch up their engraving?? Don
