I don't have a 17 Rem, but N120 would seem too fast for any practical use in a 17 Rem.
Great powder for a 17AH though! Greg GLT722: welcome to saubier.com! |

I agree with mulerider. You could try N-135 or N-140,N540.. Good luck..T.A.

I'm with Mulerider, considerably too fast.
I had good luck with my .17 Rem with Varget.

Look on the VV site (don't expect me to spell it
)
They have the full VV reloading manual there (or used to!) N-120 is much too fast for the 17 Rem! In their manual, they recommend only N-135 Alex |

Which bullet are you going to use?
BenchMark works well in a 17 Rem.
You can also try W-760 (temp sensitive) or H-414. What powders do you have so far? Matt |

The only load I have tried is W 748 and a 25 gr V max. I threw these together and headed out to a pd town. They worked ok but I think I can do better. I had some N 120 setting around I used on my 20-222 and was just wondering about it in the 17.

Alex--
Do you have the URL for the VV .17 Remington load data. The smallest caliber I can find in their online data is .22 Hornet. TIA Mike |

I've used N135 and N140 in my 17 Rems for years. N120, as others have said, is way too fast for the calibre.
